Not looking a strong pace and a reasonably closely grouped field at Halfway. Why the extended distances and Medium to Deep Closers in the 1st 4 home? And why are the Deep Closers still making inches back per stride on the Medium Closers at the line as isf the race is part way through turning itself inside-out by the line? Probably partly because Little Houdini looking small IC) upping the pace a bt by Halfway and jonied by Summer Times 3f out as another MaJo runner flouts the '2f Out Effort' Convention. Jk on STimes perhaps just tired having had to hold ST from early on. Overall a poor run from Summer Times even given he ran a bit too freely before halfway. Just a low level effort inside 3f out having engaged the leader and never really striding out. An early fade. Looking a solid size in the group but another MaJo 2yo to run poorly in a period where a number did. Previous form looks solid including making a solid job of chasing Toocoolforschool LTO. Had OR79 which may be a bit high but OR75 ought to be usable in Northen races. |
