SUMMARY

Field Raced on the Stands' Rail.

[Sep 4] Arabian Oasis looking a shorter and lengthy one. Bulkier than My Sebastien but presumably not as fit. With race developing into a 2f+ Sprint at the finish looked a lengthener who takes time to speed up and lacking an immediate turn-of-foot. Hanging left in the last 2f.

[Sep 12] Manshaa never settling in the lead and held to past Halfway. Holding his head to the right and could put that down to trying to fight the hold. But, continues to hold his head to the right when asked to make his final effort towards 2f out when engaged, But then starts hanging left with it and moving short in front. Manshaa never getting back balanced or in control and looking as if he is willing but feeling something. Drops to 7f 3TO at CHES where his front-running could be an advantage. Showed the same Head Right trait FTO at BVLY when held downhill. Seemed the handle the sharp bend at BVLY but that a RH bend. How is he going to look at CHES if held having got to the rail from draw 1?

Stewards Enquiry Text = "The Stewards considered the running of MANSHAA, ridden by Dane O'Neill and trained by Mark Johnston, which finished fourth. They noted the trainer's representative could offer no explanation for the colt’s performance. They ordered MANSHAA to be routine tested. The Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of the colt failed to reveal any abnormalities.".
