SUMMARY
 GSG from G on Decs with 4mm of rain on Thu.

Stalls Stands Side.

Stiff to Strong Westerly Wind which is a 3/4+ Headwind.

Slower pace and a 2F sprint. Field raced in tight group off the rail BUT the 5 fillies racing widest soon losing ground in the sprint and the 5 racing closer to the rail side going forward together overall. Need to assess whether that was just the lesser 5 who happened to widest or some sort of track bias.

Looking at the five widers runners then Stinky Socks looking wrong in attitude in the prelims. Ran as if something wrong and under pressure at halfway and losing grouns before the final efforts stated. Hikayati making less of an effort than expected int he last 2F but hanging right handed which might have been the problem. Arabian Queen ran a bit freely out wide bur still produced less than expected in the last 2f. Kinematic a Balding debut of which the majority are uncompetitive and more so in early season (few early 5f sorts any more in the stable). She travelled fine out wide but then found it hard to get a clear run and the race had gone away from her by the time she was clear. Crawford Avenue one of two green running one who dropped behind the other before halfway (with Showcard who switched behind the field to the Stands side). CA making an unusual early move around halfway to make ground on the wide outside while everything else waiting fo 2F out or later to try to kick.Which mean she had made ground for less effort and into midfield when the efforts went. Which is how she managed to be first home of the wider runners.
