SUMMARY
The point that kept coming up in Lonely Ranger's Breeze Video is how long & gawky his neck is. Camera angle making necks in general look a bit bigger. Once getting past that LR seems to be a small one lacking pace. A bit leggy and not fully organised and looks to be plodding on mostly balanced for the 1st 1f but gets slower and less organised in the 2nd 1f. Apologetically going quite slow at the finish. Underpowered and a 'stringy' drivetrain and power application set-up. Apart from that...

Masipa failed to make the reserve at Tattersalls 'Craven' Breeze sale (the more select one). Put into training by pin-hooker Emma O'Gorman (Bill's daughter) who seems to buy 5+ yearlings each season ans then trains then up at Seven Springs and tries to make a profit at the 2yo Breeze sales reselling them. One question looking at the Breeze video would be is it Emma O'G riding? If it is then what the hell happened to the neat crouching style. This rider part leaning back with the flats of her feet facing forward looking a bit like a waterskiing position. Snap judgement on seeing the video was that Masipa is small & lacking scope. Compact and a bit chunky but already looking grown and set in Mid-April and lacking any frame to grow into. Given the 'Now' look she does a competent breeze but lacking range and short actioned. Size limited probably but with some power. Which means in this weak field and for a trainer who gets regular FTO wins you would expect Masipa to be getting involved and find out in the HS whether (or how much) the lack of size and range limits her.
