G from GGF on Decs. G on Thu. GStick 6.9 Stands & Far Side, 7.0 Centre. 5.5mm Rain Thu to 18:00pm and 2.2.mm Rain by 04:00am on Fri.

[Sep 4] Solid Pace set by Secret Brief and showing that some of the hype around him meaningful by doing best of the 'Pace' by some margin. White Lake looking the biggest in the race and making good progress with Foreign Diplomat in the last 2f+ on the Cent=Stands strip. FD's effort stalling by inside the last 1f and never reaching SB while WLake powered on for a clear win & only stalling late on.

Dissolution the favourite after a promising looking debut where he was green but stayed on well in the last 2f to close up on a solid front 4 who were clear. Assumption being that the getting behind was inexperience and the Solid Finish would be tack onto a competent first 5f here. But, warning signs from very early on and the jk having to dirve him along inside the first 1f to sit in midfield. Then niggliing and occasionally driving him to stop him drifting back.

With SB upping the pace before 3f out Dissolution failing to respond and dropped back to 12th into the last 2f and 'going nowhere'. Watch the race to that point and you would expect him to roll home at the back. But, as on Debut, the horse then starts making ground past faders to end up 5th. Not looking as promising as FTO but finding something when he had looked 'gone' by 2f out. Green or an Attitude problem? Just finding this race too quick for him with SB pressing on or regularly trying to pack-it-in and see what the jk did in response? Interesting to see how he runs 3TO up to 8f and in what should be a slower race around a long bend. But, on evidence so far a toss-up whether he shows all of his ability. Or, takes time to get going and well back around the bend, then getting 'outpace' inside the last 3f before 'late headway monkeying' in the last 1f.
