G as on Decs. Medium Westerly Wind as a 3/4+ Headwind from the Right in the HS. Follow The Faith's last Work Gallop with 2 other 2yo fillies and 3yo Wee Jean acting as the Lead Horse. FTF finsihing 2L off the other 3 and looking smaller than Persun (OR75ish placing in Nurseries) & unraced Volunteer Point. VP the most interesting and perhaps going best of the whole quartet. A check in 214 after watching the Video shows that Channon held VP in high regard in April, including the word 'exciting'. Razaan's last Work Video from June 15th working with 3 x 2yos fillies plus the poort 3yo Lead Horse The Pocket Dot. Jellwa lead into the last 1f and pulls clear with Malabar Placed maiden El Che eased a bit to finish 3rd as the other two go away. Razaan looking a bit green and goes ok until the pace ups a bit and finishes with the lead horse. === Post Race === [Sep 16] Re-watching race and with the context that Follow The Faith's jk was hauled in by the Stewards' on 3TO at KTNA & asked what he thought he was doing - having ridden the horse 'tenderly'. Same A3 jk Bishop riding here and again riding very quietly. FTF still going ok into the last 2f in 3R on the rail and a key question is whether what happened next was the horse being green? Jk doesn't really ask for a final effort but does a bit of light niggling. FTF had the head to the left a bit throughout and doesn't seem to pick up and gets a bit unbalanced. But, the jk eases her very early after that rather than trying to organise her and getting her to plug on at some point. Without the later context you might say a green filly and amming the jk look bad. With the later context the 'Conspiracy' circuit kicks in and was the A3 protecting the OR mark of a runner just here for the owner's social requirements. |
