GGF from G on Decs. 2mm Rain Sat PM Stalls Centre. Deep Blue Sea hard to judge on the Breeze Video because of the set-up. Supposed to be two lots breezing together but no-one told the riders. Which meant DBS doing his breeze in front and the other rider holding his horse 40-50yds behind. This gave the camerwork problems trying to keep both of them in shot so a lot of very long shots which only show how far apart the pair are. DBS looking a smaller medium one but with good build. Green in the breeze and hanging left in Centre Track. But, the build positive making her look usable. Bell Wesbsite article on Sunday 24th am included = "At Yarmouth we start the afternoon of with recent Goodwood runner TOUCHLINE. She is a talented filly who did not run as well as expected on her racecourse debut. She appears to come on for that effort and should be competitive here. ". The last Work Video is from earlier in the week showing her in a trio with the colts Jargon (dual winner rtd OR80) & Le Rouquin (4th on debut in a solid fronted NMKJ maiden). Typically, as the filly, Touchline held behind the other pair but goes past them on the uphill section looking comfortable. Probably just a slower 'maintenance' Gallop and riders on the males doing nothing. But Touchline still looking a different filly from the one scrubbed along from early on at GDWD. ===== Post Race ==== For the Winter put together a Review of how useful, or misleading, examples of VRev have been. Touchline a positive in work Videos going way back to when she was unraced and working with Thunderinmyheart Watch the video of her run at GDWD and you couldn't back her and moving less than well through most of the race. But, with the Bell website seeming confident whe was better than that watching the video of her work with Jarbon & Le Rouquin looked very positive and 'smooth'. Looking more like the work Video here and travelling well to the Pace jk able to wait to ask for the final effort as Cockney Island wound the pace up by 2F out and had everything else under pressure. Touchline looking a bit scratchy late on and looking more like her 'GDWD' self. Uncomfortable on firmer going? Worth noting the VRev Review needs to include the various exmaple where VRev has misled = what is being wrongly interpreted? (No ref to an absolute scale, etc). |
