SUMMARY

GF as on Decs. 11mm of Watering Mon-Tue (Bank Holiday a North/South split with Perisitent Rain in the South & Dry in the Noth).

Medium to Stiff SE Wind = Half Headwind in the HS.

Fahey Jks = Hamilton (Phoenix Storm), A3 Chaloner (Signoret). A5 Bell (Codger's Gift) & Brennan (Midnite Ride).

Interesting Race Shape with the field split into 2 Groups of 6 for the first half of the race. The front six through halfway pressing the pace in a widespread line then a Gap back to the other 6. The Pace Strong enough to be folding most of the front 6 back by 1F out.

In the picture above the winner Charlie Croker is in lead in white one off the rail. The Second home Shootingsta is in 7th and just moving into the Gap to bridge across between the two sextets. He had been a fierce puller last time and was hauled backed to 9th after and ok break near the rail. Settling better but still pulling a bit and that puling him into the Gap just after Halfway. He made ground on CC to the finish.

The 3rd horse home Named Asset is in Orange in 6th racing wider on the track. He faded a lot but just hung on to a volunteer 3rd from the deep Closer Midnite Ride who is last on the rail. Field raced widespread in the HS.

Race Shape pointing towards a better one in context of the leading 6 in Charlie Croker surviving a pace that was too strong for the others and Shootingsta settled just well enough to stay on out of the pack to a clear 2nd. Interesting to have seen how he would have run if had settled the same amount but had run in the widespread leading line.

Charlie Croker looking a typical Ryan sprinter body shape. Medium with a bit of length but deeper and wider in fotn. Most notable point seemed to be he is a straight mover and seems to have a fluid movement. Which meant even though racing a touch too free he seemed to keep on rolling ight until the line. Time Trialling the others off his tail.
