Siff to Medium SE Wind = Close to Half Tailwind in the HS. Botti jks = Moore (Galileano) & retained Harley (LRDevil). Odd choice to send Galileano to the Tattersalls Beeze Sale where she made 200,000gns. Which sounds a lot, but as a Galileo half sister to an Irish Derby winner you would expect to get at least that for her if she was a small one who never ran. The owner didn't let her sell for 160,000gns as a 1yo to make the point. In the Video she is on the smaller side but balanced set up if looking a bit weaker front and neck. Does an ok middling Breeze without looking anything better. Runs straight, uses the range she has, middling action speed. But, why mix in a Breeding Prospect with horses who are supposedly at the Breeze as 'Ready(ish)' 2yos and with people standing there with stopwatches wanting speedy 1f times? ===== Post Race ===== Some pre VRev thoughts = moderate looking race on Profile and a bit lesser than that in reality. Definitely sub-75. Turning Times smaller and notably narrow. Also showing signs of being too fizzy in prelims and went from sweating a bit on the neck and the back leg-pits to mildly awash all over after the jks had ambled TP as their pace. In hindsight you would say that she was always still 'with us' despite the fizziness and a complete trier and still focussing on trying. Buick able to set his own pace on TT then nick 2L by upping the pac einto the HS. hanging mid-track on the CS and seeing race off. But looking 68-70 type and the fizziness is going to be too much some time (as wiill the OR). Along with the defeat of Rock Kristal this 'win' with PRev raises questions over the quality of Race 444 at KTNA which TT was runner-up in. Galileano walking behind Lexi's Red Devil and notable smaller. Galileano weak in front and a bit too compace and question over athleticism overall. Some power behind. With Moore riding and the pedigree 'Analysis' the 5/2 as 2nd fav seemed entirely circumstantial stuff from the Market. Ridden well back off the slower pace and a bit green. Outpaced on the turn to the HS and just starting to stay on a bit late on. 200k at the Breeze up looking to owe an awful lot to the predigree and not much to the phenotype. Lexi's Red Devil perhaps smaller medium to medium but the best built on show. Lacking the immediate kick of TT on the turn to the HS and staying on again. Some sort or 65+? and a bit of scope? Madam Midnight similar frame to LRD but a bit less well built. Handled the bend & pace upping into the HS a bit better than LRD to get to 2nd around 1f out but fading. Tepelini looking immature physically and needing to bulk/tighten up. Looking very slow when the pace up 2f out and left behind. |
