SUMMARY

GSG from GSS on Decs. 4mm Rain Weds overnight.

Stiff to Medium SW Wind = Half Headwind fom Left to-3f & 1/4+ Headwind last 3f.

Just an Average Pace to Halfway (Have we had any real 'Pace Wars' this year?) with first 11 through halfway in 3 Ranks with wide Spreads (3 in 1R, 5 in 2R & 4 in 3R). Leading Trio allowing pace to sit or lull in the 4th x 1F allowing a lot of CZ action for those behind with the Gap to make that forward move. Most notably Wet Sail who was in the Leading Line by-2f & King Gerry perhaps in 3rd at 0.5L down. Fast Dancer a little unlucky as he was blocked behind Grenade and cut-off by that horse when half a gap opened on the rail towards 2f out. Which meant from being a bit ahead of West Sail at halfway he was 2L down into the last 2f. Fast Dancer making the second best effort overall but comfortably held by the bigger Wet Sail King Gerry looking a solid size but, as suspected on debut, lacked pace when the 2F out efforts went (the 'touch of the carthorse' reference).

First 2 homes 70s and suspect the rest sub-70 downwards.
