SUMMARY

[Sep 22] Mixed feelings wrt Forza Blacky as a smaller one in the Group. But, seemed to run a very good race given the set-up and notably better than Cahill for example. Slow break from the Rail and ended up Last behind an Average Pace at most. With 9 bigger horses in front looking a tough task. But, made some groun 1Wd early on the bend then sxitching out lef tto centre track-3f into the HS and making good ground in the CZ to be close 2R for the 2f out efforts. Then making a solid effort to be challenging for 2nd around 1f out and only dropping down to a low level effort int he last 0.5f & dropping Cahill. Better than his size suggests? Another positive for trainer McBride in a very good year for him with his low/lower level buys.
