SGS from SHV on Decs. Stalls Centre & field raced Centre-StdsSd. Be Bold a lower 70s one and Hannons good at dropping this sort to a lesser race if they think the horse will end up just placing in Open Maidens. Also well above the average at buying usable 2yos at any price level so can drop some to Auction races like this one. Add in dropping to a lesser track (like BTON, BATH & here) they managed to find this race would have been a moderate quality seller without BB. Low quality opposition making BB look physically bigger than he is and winning comfortably. Cornwallville a two sizes smaller version of BB and commensurate lesser ability. Apart from slow start stuck at chasing BB ok but probs 50s of some sort. Chetan has looked a 'bigger' one in context of his previous two races when surrounded by small fillies in Auction races. BB just a smaller medium one but Chetan smaller and his narrowness showing up in comparison to BB. Chetan looks like he could be used in a Text Book to define 'one paced' and if hustled to go faster or around a bend and he has usually got unbalanced and got much slower. The barrel rolls on this track didn't look good for him but in just going in a straight line he seemed to cope ok. But, outpaced and soon as the paced lifted a bit and just galloping on with his pronounced knee action showing. Go White Lightning the first debut for Evans since he had 15 in 17 days from the start of the season. Traditionally the early 'Batch' contain most of his usable ones and season winners. The later debuts rarely contain much quality nor debut winners and just the odd development project. The interesting exception to that 'Model' in recent seasons has been debuts after April for the Cliffords (Bathwick & Red/Yellow colours) at SALS. GWL's PRF a mid-point on the off chance it might be a delayed usable one. Lack of Size & Nous in PRev soon knocked that idea back and the Market knew as well. Stan Moore a bit behind schedule with runners and hasn't had a winner yet. Stopped runninghis horses for a brief spell in April. No promise from Fly Grazer although seemed to be beaten quite so far because of the hanging left. |
