Solid to Stiff pace set by Fieldsman on whom the decision seemed to have been taken to go to the lead rather than try to hold him up. Fallon unable to hold him in 2R STO and ran poorly on Soft going on a track with a stiff finish. Allowed to roll along here in the lead and seemed to pull the race apart downhill with only newcomer Shakopee (Ok Size) able to follow and chase him Other four all running poorly in various ways and out of the race by 2F out.

[Sep 28] Best Example hinted at moving a bit scrathily in Front on debut on fast ground at YORK. Niggled briefly early here and seemed to respond. But, looking as if he didn't handle the downhill section here and driven along from before it started. Losing ground and hanging left downhil. No response when into the slightly uphill HS and eased early.
