SUMMARY
GGF as on Decs and on the first 2 days of this 3 Day Meeting.

Stalls Centre.

Godolphin jks = Lane (HVal, 1st Cols), Doyle (KUp, 2nd) & Kirby (Rewritten, 3rd). With Kirby the usual 1st choice for Appleby this crosses up with the Colours. Early Market taking the 'Kirby riding' as the pointer to the 'best' one for the day.

MPR Sales Blurb wrt Jakodima = "From time to time when at the sales you can fall in love with a horse. We have to admit this colt immediately caught all our eyes and is already one that the whole team have fallen in love with. His breeze was extravagant and hit the eye. His pedigree is very good and him as an individual, he is outstanding. He sells himself on looks alone and add to that his fantastic breeze, which was completed in a very fast time by the way, and he looks just the perfect recipe. He could go to the top. Not the archetypal Hannon horse in that he will probably take a bit of time and need to be brought along steadily but if what you're looking for is a potentially high class individual who will run 2 or three times as a back end 2yo but who should improve immensely as a 3yo, then this colt if the perfect horse for you. He could be around a while and could be a star name to add to the MPR ranks Richard Hughes loved him from the moment he first saw him. This is usually a good sign. Richard Hannon couldn't be more pleased with him and is already looking forward to seeing him race. We anticipate him probably starting off over 6 or 7 f around August time and he ought to end up being a miler in time. Hannon's seem to do very well with their milers, don't they? We couldn't recommend this colt more highly.".

Very interesting Breeze Video for Jakodima. Initial reaction is that he doesn't look anything like a typical 'Kodiac'. Shallower and lengthier body and leggy and rangy. Initial reaction is that if he can sprint AND use his range he might be better class. But, uses his range fully in the Breeze and a middling speed action. Not looking a sprinter. Hard to match the view of the Breeze with the MPR blurb hype.. Jakodima getting unbalanced when getting going and again when changing lead after 1f. Gets slower in the last 0.5f+ but still using his range. If he did a solid then it must be his stride length making the difference because he doesn't look 'fast'. Looking at the picture on the MPR website of Jakodima at the sale is also a bit baffling because he doesn't look like the rangy type of the Video. Looks less deep in front, lengthier back and lighter behind than a Kodiac sprinter but looking smaller. Starts here over 8f and the Hannon's dont' start horses over 8f unless they really need it. They will start any pedigree over 5f if the horse shows 'enough' speed (better class 7-8f types will be as fast in early season work as OR70+ 5-6f ones). How does all that work out on
