SUMMARY
GGS from GS on Decs. Medium SW Wind = 3/4 Tailwind From the Right.

Fahey in SL piece pre-race = "Is Ventura Shadow ready to win division one of the Maiden Fillies' Stakes at Thirsk on debut? Probably not. She’s’ quite a nice, big horse who is ready to run. I’d be a little surprised if she won but if it’s an on ordinary race she’d have half a chance."

Slightly baffling result with Harry's Dancer appearing to show something 'different' at a lower level. Race probably fell apart a bit behind her but the time still much better than Div II. But, Harry's Dancer always racing a bit too keenly and away from the rail but still finishing relatively strongly. A problem in that she was a smaller one in the group and looking like one running her 'Top' level FTO eyeballs out and a toss-up whether she will go forward from that effort. On the other side it is usually correct to credit a horse winning this clearly with a bit of comething unusual above her size. Check how the rating goes and whether she turns out to be a zippy and precocious ones that hits a ceiling above Novice level.

Zeela looking like a 6f type FTO and a surprise to see her at 5f here even for a £10k bonus. But, a flat effort at 2F out even given the 5f test and just plugging on and not really stretching out. Debut race looking solid enough in the horses who finished 3rd & 4th behind her and inclined to expect better over 6f and if whatever the issue here was fixed.

Clodovil Doll a small zippy one who ran too free and faded FTO. CDoll held back here and ended up 3R on the rail. Just an ordinary bit of plugging on once extricated and prob sub-70 in the fullness.

Mix of types and failings behind meaning nothing really chasing HDancer that hard (the lack of size thing niggling away). Feats,,etc a notably small one and running too free and fading early. Bacall a smaller medium one with some bulk. Ran much too free held in 2R and hope of a better run STO would lean on that free-running reducing her to a walk by-0.5f, Pastoral Girl an ok size in the group and seemed to be running a competent debut in 2R on the rail. Her 'excuse' would be she didn't pick up in the last 2F and hung left a lot with the jk looking uncomfortable (like a man trying to balance a lot of metal balls rolling around on a flat tray and knowing it is all going to go horribly wrong any time). Worth checking STO.

The other three never getting started and different form of Adrift by halfway. Mystic And Artist making the best of some plugging on back into the faders but not looking one to follow. Secret Dubai too small to be interesting and the trainer a negative. Ventura Shadow for more respected connectons but looking green and a suspect mover. See whether she shows anything more NTO for nursery development.
