SUMMARY

GGF by Race Time. G as on Decs. 4.5mm Rain Wednesday. GStick 7.8 Far Side, 7.5 Centre, 7.4 Stands' Side. Check for Far Rail bias.

Stalls Far Side of Far Side Course.

Race run in 3.63secs slower than the Rockfel Stakes. Notably Slow pace and a widespread field after 2F and a lot of horses held by their jks. For a period before and after halfway two separate Groups in the widespread line and those in the Centre Group noted. Far Side Group with 2-3L ahead of Centre Group around Halfway with Consort getting an Easy Lead close to the Far Rail and 1L clear of the others in his group. Spanish Squeeze 2nd in the Far Side Group and also getting a comfortable times and 0.5L+ clear of the others. Bear in mind in terms of the Slow Pace here and the possible Far Side track advantage.

Sectional Times =

1st 1f = 15.75s (notably slow & around 25mph after 0.5f & 33mph after 1f)
2nd 1f = 12.30s (2nd & 3rd 1f around 35mph +/- 1mph)
3rd 1f = 12.32s
4th 1f = 12.20s
5th 1f = 11.59s
6th 1f = 10.61s (Downhill & Consort looking rangyF & willing & putting 2L+ gap into pace in the 2F Sprint Race Shape)
7th 1f = 11.51s (Uphill)

Consort getting an easy time and perhaps on best part of track but seemed to show a better kick, in context, and moving well and fiinishing the race off. But, note the slow time and the '2f Sprint' nature of the Race and how good/ready were the others? Hathal given a typically non-involving ride by Dettori for a debut for this owner. Given he was held up off a slow pace and racing widest on the course then a good effort to get through to 2nd late on. But, neither Consort nor Hathal standing out for size and how much of the ground made done so against 7f+ stayers (less ready types physically) unsuited to the Race Shape.

For example Mutamakkin looking a strong physical type and running the Far Rail but not really picking up inside the last 2f and just HnH. Not moving his bulk yet and better STO with a stronger pace?
