Stiff WNW Wind as close to Direct Tailwind.

Stalls Far Side of Far Side Course.

Aloft made his debut in an 8f Gowran maiden on Sept 21st. Hard to judge the quality but a big field and perhaps just a middling maiden on the day and more judging horses for promise shown. Winner the 3TO Intransive who made all on the rail and got a decisive break into the short HS as the field fanned out. Gowran looking to be 2 x short straights linked by a very long RH bend. Aloft probably 2nd string of 3 with JosephOB on FTO Hans Holbein (4th from Draw 11). Aloft wide draw 14 of 14 so a tough task and ended up 2 wide in the Last rank to the long bend. Somehow managed to be 3R on the rail into the HS but then blocked and having to switch around horses twice in the last 2f and a solid finish for little asking. Slower paced raced but staying well.

Slow Pace with a lot of puling. Field racing variably spread out away from the Far Rail during the race. Later Race Sprint Shape to the Race with field spreading out to get clear runs ins-3f and Final Sprint prob close to a full 2.5f.
