SUMMARY
[Oct 27th] In a season where Prescott has only had 1 individual 2yo winner Seychelloise has a pedigree which ought to have made her a 'First Batch' runner for the trainer. In 214 he says she is a 'May Foal' so cannot be 'very precocious'. Making a July debut probably means 'very precocious' to Prescott. Doesn't explain why Seychelloise made such a late debut. Prescott trained both the sire and dam and looking back to 1995 Pivotal made his 2yo debut on October 19th finishing 9th then won twice by November 6th. The dam was an unusually precocious one for Prescott and won on debut on May 19th. Mixed Story in the race with Seychelloise very green and having to be niggled and driven along for most of the race. Dropped off the back around the bend and the whip being used. Would not have been a surprise if she faded back and never appeared again in Camera Shot down the HS. In that context she seemed to show promise to get back into the group and close a bit on the winner who had got an easy time on the rail.
