S as on Decs. Stalls Stands' Side of the Stands' Side course. Opening Hypothesis that the Stands' Rail would be a better strip to race on tested more fully here. Field effectively split into 2 groups of 6 horses with the bigger, but angular, Volatile leading the Stands Rail group. Strath Burn leading the Cent-Stds Group and racing widest. The two Groups racing similar paces and lengthways spread through Halfway. With Royal Razalma coming from off the pace in the Centre Group and SBurn hanging on for 2nd out wide hard to say it made any difference where they ran. Note that the winner RRazalma racing behind SB in the Centre Group but veered left across the front of the Stands Rail leaders in the last 1f, hampering Profitable(at least). . Stewards' Enquiry text = "The Stewards held an enquiry into possible interference inside the final furlong. Having heard their evidence and viewed recordings of the race they found that the winner, ROYAL RAZALMA (IRE), ridden by Richard Kingscote, had interfered with PROFITABLE (IRE), placed fifth, ridden by Adam Kirby and SQUATS (IRE), placed fourth, ridden by Ryan Moore. The Stewards found Kingscote in breach of Rule (B)54.1 and guilty of careless riding in that he allowed his mount to drift left handed without sufficient correction moving PROFITABLE (IRE) off his intended line and causing Kirby to take a slight check and then further interfered with SQUATS (IRE), causing Moore to stop riding for several strides potentially losing him third place. They suspended him for 4 days as follows: Friday 31 October, Saturday 1, Monday 3, and Tuesday 4 November 2014.". |
