- Took over the training of the horses of Karl Burke (his Son-in-Law) in August 2009 following that trainer's 12 month ban. Moved his own horses from Twyford up to the Yorkshire yard.
- Had his application for a continuation of his Training Licence denied by the BHA in early 2014. Granted a temporary licence in late April at which time Jarvis had appealed against the decision and a date was still to be set for the appeal hearing.
