- Banned for 3 years in mid-2013 for running a horse in his care - Commando Scott - 9 times after he arranged for the horse to have a de-nerving operation on it's right hind leg. He was given an extra 6 months for attempting to mislead the BHA' investigation team.
- Moved to a new base in early 2008 just 2 miles from his previous yard. New yard has 32 boxes and is part of the Bethell estate (i.e. the family that has supplied James Bethell the trainer and two of his brothers that have been Stewards at York Races).
