Background Information
  • Lucy B. Normile, nee Whitaker.
  • From a racing background and her mother owned the 1978 Grand National winner Lucius. While working as a Pupil Assistant to Kim Bailey in Lambourn met and married Alan Normile who was the Head Groom. The couple relocated to Scotland and initially trained P2P horses then gained a Full Training Licence in 2000. Alan died of cancer in 2010, aged 36, leaving his wife and 3 children.
  • Lucy Normile has continued to train from the same base which has stabling for 35 horses. No 2yo runner prior to 2014.
