GStick 7.0 at 07:00am but that before the morning Rain passed through.
Stalls Far Side fo the Stands Side course.
=== Post Race ===
Field split into two Groups (9 Far Side & 4 in Centre). Very Slow Time and the first 10 home within just over 3L of the winner. Reads like a messy, Slow Paced race.
Picture of the Field at the 3f out Pole. The leader on the Far Rail is Highwayman who had pulled to the lead. Chelsea Lad is in the blue with white cap (#2) closest and widest out in Centre. Clear Cut is on the Far Side in the White in 2R (outside the horse in Red with a Yellow cap).
Overall effect of the Race on Video looking less of a dawdle than the Time Reads. Slow early pace and harder to judge, even with an on-screen timer, because the visible Furlong Pole markers only kick in at the 4f point (well done CoC). The on-screen Clock also stops after 6f run (75.48s = only 0.96s slower than the Fillies Listed 6f race??) so well done RUK, too. Most taking visual impression was how bad the ground was and looking very sloppy and loose in the last 3f. Making it hard for horses to show any forward effort and race looking more like a fibresand grind.
Chelsea Lad looking a solid size despite the 10k price. Typical for the trainer that his horses show most of their ability on debut. Only his second FTO win of the year (the other was his first debut of the year at the same course at 8/1). But his previous 2 debuts, Sep 25th & Oct 14th, have been placed at 14/1 & 100/1, 'Trainer Respect' Market pricing hasn't caught up with Meade's MO/ability yet. Chelsea Lad looking like one of the runners struggling most with the loose going. Hangs left to start with to end up Center+ on his own. One whip crack and he hanga back right to re-join the others. Then hangs left again to finish wide alone again. Less good season for Meade in 2015 compared to a terrific 2015. This only the 4th win but he has run less horses and run most of them very few times. His other two winners were on later starts having been solid 4ths on debut.
