SUMMARY
G as on decs.

Inner HS in use.

Strong to Stiff Westerly Wind = 3/4 Headwind from the Left.

=== Pre Race ===

Breeze Video for Asadihan showing a smaller one with some length in the gather. Middling build. Slower first 1f with mdeium action & when pressed goes a bit faster in the last 1f. Going forward at finish. Up behind & still needing physical devt. Usable but size limited and not showing real 5f pace & 6f start perhaps fitting with that. Spencer riding.

=== Post Race ===

Checked the Breeze Video for Asadihan after result known and reaction still "How did that happen?" (3L win with Frank riding) and not "Ahh, I see what I was missing now". Check Race Shape. Spencer has mostly marooned the 2yo FTOs this season off the back so far that they have never even got to the first 3. He has one other FTO win on Areen (another Breeze buy for trainer Ryan) who he hauled back to last 3.5L off the lead but a mix of horse ability and small field with the leader going too fast giving 10lbs allowed a win. What shape here?

Slow Time and more in line with GSS or S = Headwind a real issue? Worth noting that the Going Stick reading at 7.9. Checking on the 6f races over the last few years at the course show that a GStick reading of 7.9 has been matched up with going decsriptions in the full range from G to Heavy. (1 at GF even).

=== Post VRev ===

Stalls Centre and field racing Centre arrowhead. 3 ranks with 3 fillies in the leading rank, 3 in 2R and 4 in the last rank. Pace not looking that strong but as usual for the straight course here (and YORK, etc) huge gaps opening up and only the first 4 home ever eally in the race and a huge, probable Garbage, Gap back to 5th+. Good going and the field making a very visible print & some part divotting. Saturn Lace a useful Marker horse as the smallest of the first 4 home but a ready type and trying hard. Leading early until headed by Balqees at Halfway. SLace making an ok effort 2f out for her size and only headed by the winner 1f out and clear 2nd. Fading notably last 0.5f to allow Awohaam (bigger IC) & Martini Time (medium) to overhaul her.

Spencer eliciting the expected inelegant 'fall' out of the stalls by Asadihan but with others slower was probably 7th/8th early. Allowed Asadihan to drift back and switched behind the first 2R to end up in the last rank of 4. Asadihan doing more than stayoing on past faders to win with, for example, being level with Martini Time into the last 2f but leaving that one behind. Able to make a real forward effort 1.5f out to make 2-3L back to lead 1f out then go 2-3L clear of the fading SLace with Awohaam & MTime just plugging on and lacking that kick. Not 'quickening' but certainly an efficient kick. Asadihan not the tallest but looking the bulkiest and strongest and moving ok if a touch bent legged. Spencer able to ease late on. Another eg, like Areen, where a Spencer win FTO not down to him getting the horse prominet and make a normal effort to compete to win. But, a mix of horse and race quality where it was possible to close up from further back than normal in a 6f race

To make the point about a race where closing from an unusual distance allowed this was the 15th x 6f race of the season and Asadihan being 4L back at Halfway is the furthest distance a winner has come from. Second furthest was 3.5L by War Department and 11 of the 15 were 2L or less back at Halfway. So, looking a mix of a race breaking up, as often on the staright track here, and allowing closing but still some extra marks for Asadihan to turn a 3L deficit into a 3L lead in about 1f, even given the leader's fade.
