Stiff to Medium Westerley Wind. Helpful Downhill, X-Wind in HS. == Pre Race === Poor race on Profile and although run to WFSex horses qualify to enter by costing £12-15k or less. Low prices in inflated recent sales' markets. See full Conds at bottom of the notes. Also unusual, and linked to the price bar, is a maiden open to both sexes with 9 x fillies and 3 x colts. === Post Race === Rampers small and not standing out even as a colt in this group. Poldark Similar size and build but looking unwilling overall. Leaving an open race at a low quality level. Dream Island a rare FTO win for trainer JJS Tate but another small one looking in place in this group. Overall, not a race to be looking for subsequent winners. But, worth noting Threebagsue noted by trainer Moore as his 'Bargain Buy' in 215. Trainer has got two cheaply bought siblings rated high 70s before. TBSue ok build in this group and staying on ok, in context, in the last 1f+. [July 8th] Rampers missing from 41 days after this run. Given an odd Stop/Go ride and would expect some sort of WTRB to have been made given the poor effort in the HS with the Jk doing nothing. In a stall alone next to rail and slowish start and jk using whip down neck to get Rampers going and try to hold a 2R position. But, why mix that activity with sitting still as the horse lost some ground on the bend to the HS and then in the HS. As noted abpve Rampers looking a smaller one even in this group. Race Conds = "£4,800 guaranteed For 2yo, sold or bought in as yearlings by public auction at 'specified sales', or as 2yo up to and including May 21st, 2015, for £12000 or less before July 1st, 2014, or for £15000 or less after June 30th, 2014 (The last sale to govern the price if sold more than once) Weights colts & geldings 9st 5lb, fillies 9st Entries 27 pay £ 24 Penalty value 1st £3,105.12 2nd £924.00 3rd £461.76 4th £230.88". |
