Going officially GS by race time with rain. GStick reading meaningless.. GFF as on Decs.

Strong to Stiff SW Wind with gusts up to 45mph. 3/4 Headwind overall.

=== Pre Race ==

Went back and reviewed Ahdaf's Breeze Video missed before his debut. Ahdaf a 'Willoughby Project' breeze buy for MaJo. Ahdaf looking as smaller medium, compact and ready type in line with the picture. Unremarkable breeze mostly starting with him head up as held in the pre-2f out gather area. Into stride quickly and moves staright with a faster action. Just average range for his type and looks like he is showing most of what he can do. Not much scope for being more professional, using range more, growing, etc. Ready type who is in the 'right' type of sale with people looking for competent 2f blasts and times NOW.

Straduff one of those 'negative pinhooks you never hear about. Retained at the premier Tats Breeze sale having reached a similar bid level as he did at 1yo. In his Breeze Video he seems to roll along fine. Video starts with him already up to speed inside the 2f start. Looking a typical smaller 'bear' of his sire. Short, IP body length to a bit compact, ok bulk. A bit green and only a bit above average cadence. Runs straight, uses the range he has and finishes the breeze off. Hard to say why the 'cheap' stalled bidding. Possibly on the small side (check) and perhaps the breeze a bit slow?

=== Post Race ===

Raining with horses at start and divots kicked up through the race. Minor chaos time in that if you fiddled with the going, race distance and pace then any of the first 3 home might win. Ahdaf perhaps the most basic pace but fading in the last 0.5f of this extended 5f (as on debut?) and no bigger than Field Of Vision who wore him down and looked the winner late on. But, FOV fading late to allow Art Collection to stay on, again, to lead late on and a bit bigger than either of Ahdaf or FOV. Make this a 5f going (cut the 0.3f uphill bit at the end off) and fast going and perhaps a photo between Ahdaf & FOV with AC 2L back and staying on towards them. Small & limited Frank Bridge worryingly close and involved until into the last 1f.
