SUMMARY

GSS in early AM from GGF on decs. Rain on Monday. Odd showers on Tuesday when the going at the course changed from G to GS after race 1 and Soft soon after. Not enough rain on the day to explain that sort of large change. GStick broken or not reported on Tuesday.

[June 15] Low level promise clearly but East Street Revue showing a bit more than finishing 8th from 7th at Halfway suggests. Niggled along soon after Halfway and made a forward move through the lesser ones to be a clear 4th-1f+ and challenge 3rd briefly into the last 1f before fading back.

[June 30th] Hard to judge whether this was a moderate run by Avenue Of Stars or not. Finishing behind something that might have been a Garbage Gap with a possible small one like Florenza To make that reading acceptable for AOS you would then have to give him extra marks for attending the pace set by Ode To Evening in the STands Side group. AOS still clear 2nd in that group to 0.5f out and perhaps fading back into lesser types? But, never really separating much from those behind. Did AOS stay 6f on GSS? But, looking back at the subsequent runs of the first 12 home and, without any looking 75 types, they have all run the higher ratings NTO. The winner was 5th in the Coventry so the Gap here behind OTE more acceptable. A number of those minor higher ratings NTO but Florenza lloking better than thought NTO even if her 3rd was down to a slow pace. Even Desert Ruler who ran the previous day over 7.1f showed far more than his final unplaced finish suggested. DR being the only one to challenge the odds-on favourite in his race after setting the pace.
