=== Pre Race ===

Interesting set up with 3 of the 4 x newcomers sold at the Tatts lesser 2yo sale on May 1st. Kodimoor for 55k, Head East for 52k & Highly Sprung for 38k. How do the 3 compare in there Breeze Videos and in the race FTO? Note that Highly Sprung is a 'Willoughby Project' breeze purchase for MaJo. For example, in the AM HS around 9/4 jt fav, HE 16/1 & Kodimoor 25/1 = plain 'Trainer Respect' Market pricing?

Breeze Video for Head East showing a smaller medium and balanced ready type of the sire. But, deeper in front and a bit more build overall. Little Bull type. Up to speed quickly in the 2f breeze and a faster than average action, Wobbling a bit in the last 0.5f and fading late. Strong and ready type but lacking some range and a touch size limited?

Highly Sprung's Breeze Video shows a similar type to Head East. Smaller and ready type. A bit more length to body and neck than HE and not quite as strong. Shows a faster action than HE and looking a 5f type. Along with action speed presume a fast breeze than HE, HS also getting a bit unbalanced in last 0.5f (loose surface?) and drifting left. Sees the 2f out better than HE but breaking up soon after finish. Another 5f ready type. Note the forelegs dont move straight.

Kodimoor has a good 5f earlyish pedigree including his best sibling winning the Brocklesby. 'Trainer Respect' Market forming understandable to anextent here with McCormick having no record with 2yos. In 2014 she had 2 x Breeze buys (31k & 70k) with both making August debuts and neither ever placing. Kodimoor a similar 'ready 5f' type to HE/HS. Smaller and complete. Some body length and perhaps the least body depth by a touch. A bit leggier. Looks ok in the gather and held back. Disappointing in motion and the slowest action of the 3 and a bit head down and a touch ponderous. 'Feels', not timed, like the slowest breeze of the 3. Movement lack perhaps part green but would like to have seen the movement (action speed, etc) match with the physical set-up and produce a complete story (as it did with HS for eg).

=== Post Race ===

Average Pace for this downhill track with the Leading Pair in Place early on with Comdey Night on the rail with Glenrowan Rose outside him. This pair running alongside each other throughout and GR just outstaying CN in the last 50yds. This 2f effort downhill off a usable pace, with some concertina effect, maeaning making ground from the Lo4 in 2R around halfway hard. Head East running the rail in 2R throughout and hinted at being able to move up to try to join the leading pair later on but held in by Barbarous Relic doing best of the wide draws and running wide out.

Highly Sprung an effort at 2f out but dropping back by 1f out (movement in front an issue on ths course and going?). HS had been driven along before Hf as it lacking pace of some other issue. Desert River running better than the late fade showed. Slow break got him last early on behind the wall of the 2R Lo4, Made a real forward move at Halfway to get 2L back and join the Lo$ and challenging for 3rd towards the last 1f, Fade hid that early effort.

Kodimoor the best break but slower pick-up and 2R 1Wd by 0.5f gone. Along with HS driven along before halfway having been niggled at timed before that. Looking a bit green but also probably lacking some pace for this fastish test (60.59secs on GF with a Tailwind not fast for this track).

Nothing standing out for size. BR poss a bit taller as trainer type. DR ok build?
