G by race time but GStick not updated. GFG in early morning from F on decs. Rail still dolled out 4yds until just after 3f out as it has been for the whole season to date. === Pre Race === Breeze Video for Wilspa's Magic makes her look usable. Smaller type of sire but with a bit of length. Uses range and just a medium cadence. Moderate breeze because never balanced & drifting a bit and the rider looking scared and backing off and just balancing himself. But rolls along reasonably well and should be usable if she gets more organised. But, trainer a negative. === Post Race === Immediate reponse after the race if just go with the existing ratings at times. Another race att he course where the pace was too strong and the leading pair at halfwayy taking each other on throughout. Princess Kodia smaller than Stroke Of Midnight and effectively giving 3lbs. But compact and in better condition and wearing SOM down late on. A race for a closer but most of field put under pressure just to chase and David's Beauty coming from well back to show what might have happened with a 75 filly in 2R. DB a solid size against the leaders and staying on willingly and usable 60s. DB in even better condition than PK. A3 Hardie riding Stroke Of Midnight and another Hannon 2yo failing to convert and looking less than top conditions. Stable a bit behind usual scedule for winners and for quality? (check - they were up to race 145) Trainer Meehan interviewed beforehand rather than looking at the horses (another example of wasted information opportunities) and said PK could be tricky at the stalls and put the poor LEIC run down to that. Then the interview wandered off, unfocussedly, onto general metters, RASCT, etc. In an awkward manner. |
