SUMMARY

=== Pre Race ===

Breeze Video for Royal Display another in the numerous examples by sire Showcasing so far (12). Kodiac has had 10 breeze buy runners. Looking at the Showcasings as type they all seem to be ready, IP to compact body length, and balanced types. Looking complete and '2yos'. The variation perhaps in how much bulk they have and how they use their range. The 11 previous debuts for the sire have produced 4 wins plus 2 x 3rds (in 7 runners fields). The 2 x STOs have produced 1 win. Video for RD making him look another 'pea' out of the Showcasing pod. Medium size and ready type. A bit more bulk perhaps. Starts breeze poorly because a bit too free and unbalanced. Shows a KA and just above average cadence when in motion. Improves laterin the breeze and finishes it off ok but just average range use. Odd that trainer Shaw signed for RD at the sale but he runs for Kevin Ryan. You would presume that if this was a 'hand on' for some reason that Ryan would want to see a usable one. Did Ryan have any input or a syndicate choice?

=== Post Race ===

[July 2nd] Daleelak smaller medium and solidly built. Shoter then Fishergate, for eg, but better built. A bit green but niggled alng for the first half of the race and driven along for the second half. Some of that looking lack of pace and steps up to 7f STO. MaJo has had a lot of notable improvers on later runs this season but no 75 promise here and not the taller, boaty type the trainer has who improve up in trip.
