=== Post Race ===

Field raced centre then most of field drifted Far Side in last 2f the winner & 3rd (Mr Lupton & Head East) both staying stands side of the Centre line and that pair making most relative ground. Mayfair Lady smaller but seeming to run well to go to a clear lead then hanging acrodss the FrSd-Cent. Love On The Rocks seeming to be going fine to 2f out but switched left early to be racing wide out on the track and making no impression. Inclined to think the Stands Side faster than the Far Side as usual and LOTR racing on the wrong part of the track. As usual, despite GF going, we had the usual added Divots and those not being kicked up consistently on different parts of the track. With a relaid track a few years ago and a lot of Watering before the Meeting it would seem a good idea to Suggest that the Clerk Of The Course has no idea how the ground will ride and whether there are any Biases. 22mm of Watering - strewth, is that via Heavy Machinery compacted some strips of the course? or Pop Sprinklers affected by Wind? etc.

[July 3rd] Ideal Recruit ridden by a green A7 jk and boy, did it look it. Horse fell out of the stalls looking half asleep and proceeded to do nothing and quickly adrift and had to tell if IR was even galloping. Bad enough, but the jk seemed asleep as well and did nothing for 1.5f then a vague bit of niggling and fumbling around and unable to locate his whip. Horse hanging left in the last 1.5f to end up adrift Far Side. IR looking smaller medium & perhaps a bit above average build. But, impossible to judge him on this. Kingscote takes over STO which will solve the jk issue but IR also steps up to 7f (there has been a 6f maiden at the track this week) which seems a designed move.

[July 11th] Chicago School showing most of the traits & issues here as on his previous 2 runs. Looking just a neat ready one and the running too free in the lead. When asked to make an effort 2f out not much happening and visually looking worse with his forelegs splaying to some extent and starting to hang left a bit. Then failing to stay and 5th at 1f out and the hangingincreasing. Neat, sized, willing, free runner, hang & wander when under pressure then fade early (short runner). With space here he didn't show the hesitancy he did STO with other horses cramping him on both sides in later race.
