GF in early am as on Decs. GStick reading from 06:30am. Rail in by 3yds. === Post Race === Average pace or a little above and enough to put the green/leeser ones under pressure before Halfway. Some relaying of the lead before Halfway with Captain Gerald leading on the rail with New Abbey Angel & Poldark outside of him. Poldark moving forward after 2.5f to go to the lead and towards the rail. [July 2nd] Weak race and Fretwell taking advantage of Turn Tide's low retained sales price to get in to soft Auction event with a light weight. Presumably to have some sort of punt given the SP. But, TT green through a lot of the race and jk Cosgrave presumably new today was a/the Day so always active to get TT involved. Weakness of race compared to TT's ability and raceweight meaning TT could win anyway. Looking and moving his best late on when out of the pack (not racing amongst horses) nor being carried LH by Poldark. But smaller medium and probably smaller one and less neatly made behind. Moves well in front to make him. Steps up to a solid/strong 7f Novice STO amongst real Open Maiden winners. Hard to think he isn't going to look a lesser type in that group. |
