SUMMARY
GF in early am from GGF on decs. 3mm of Watering after racing on Friday evening.

Stalls Far Side.

=== Post Race ===

Hughes interviewed before the race and the reason he has been missing this week was because he was doing one of the Trainers' modules needed for him to be able to apply for a licence from the BHA. He also said he had given Bournemouth Belle a "tender" ride on debut at WDSR because she had sore shin issues and he thought the ground was [too] quick that day for her. He also noted this was a weak Listed race so the right sort of spot for her (have to stop being so honest once he is a trainer). He would then know to respond to the gushing "impressive LTO, could be anything" question by agreeing she was 'Top Class' (which reaches down to 80s handicappers making it a worthless phrase). The, audience misleading, presenter also bogusly suggesting to Hughes that "this was a big step up". No it isn't, it is pretty often an 80s Nursery at the top with little subsequent relevance and very rarely beyond 2yo season.

One of the huge cast of presenters also reported that trainer Burke had said Katie's Diamond was the "best he had had" at an early stage in a season. But, she was a handful and hence the headgear.

Ragged Race with Hughes getting a soft lead on Bournemouth Belle and working his way over to the Stands Rail by the finish. Spencer staying alone on the far rail on White Bullet and Katie's Diamond staying on to win in Centre track.

[July 20th] Stalls Far Side to Centre spread. Slow pace for 1f+. Pace picked up a bit by 2f out with Jk Hughes on Bournemouth Belle taking advantage of the lull to move to the lead in Centre track getting a soft time leading. Field spread across Centre line at Halfway with large spread back given the pace. Spencer on White Bullet in the Last Pair (as you would presume he has to be regardless of the pace).
