=========

Taexali a home bred for Thistle BS and has a no 5f pedigree. Trainer has has a few 2yo runners in Britain in each of 2012-14 but overall record of 0-13 with 8 different 2yos. Taexali made his debut in a 5f CURR maiden on March 29th when 5th of 11 at 12/1, beaten around 3L on Yielding/-Soft going. 2nd & 7th from race have won since and the 3rd placed 3rd again. The 6th has been beaten twice since (incl by the 7th when that one one on the day before this race). Taexali appearing to run better than the final result on VRev. Broke fast from the centre and in the Leading line off the rail towards 1f gone but running too freely. Jk held him back to 2R around Halfway but Taexali pulling back to be in the leading pair 2f out and challenging while still going his own pace and the Jk having not asked for final effort. Still challenging 2nd into the last 1f before fading. Looking at least a Medium size in that group. Seemed ok,

========

Faster time but very Fast Conditions with an unusual Tailwind. Taexali again a little free running but allowed to lead on the rail unhassled and his Jk able to control him. Able to turn the race into a less than 2f sprint once they had got down the hill with few problems, as a group. Taexalie a medium size and a touch narrow but athletic and ok snap to his movement, looking a ready sprinter. Jet Setting a 'BTON dropper' for Hannon and that type can be limited, smaller, oddly made, etc. JS looking better than expected, shorter than Taexali but bulkier despite being filly versus a colt. Able to make some ground ont he the winner in the late race sprint. Definite 70+ and mover her PRev rating up a bit. Trainer Tuite does Front-Load and those capable of winning usually show promise FTO. Just Emma a very cheap buy and a bit smaller than JS in frame but looking bulky enough, not fully fit and a bit green in the race. Which meant JE hanging onto the front two for a long way in the sprint looked an ok effort for a usable 60s of some sort. Mustn't Grumble the 8th debut for Turner and none have made the first 3 and 7 of 8 have recorded negative ratings. Other than Just That Lord he either has nothing else, a problem in the yard, or something else usable held back for some reason. A disastrous start to the season for a trainer with his MO. Trainer Madwick has never had a debut placed and No Body's Fool kept that record up despite having a good 5f early pedigree. Given the pedigree why isn't she being trained by Channon (who trained the dam to win early season) by one of Channon's 'pet project' sires from Norman Court Stud.

=== Post VRev ===

Not much to add to the first view take. Taexalie a slightly narrow & leggy one but neatly put together and a straight and athletic mover. Losing ground to JS towards the line and not looking to have much scope. Mid 70s of some sort. One question is why would an Irish trainer bring a 2yo over the BTON? The answer is presumably linked to the fact that the trainer ran a STO 3yo in the 'Derby Trial' conditions race at EPSM the day after this. Taexali here as a travelling companion and nip down to BTON from EPSM while waiting for the Wednesday race?

Put Jet Setting 70-74, Just Emma green here and usable 65. No Body's Fool a shorter, less powerful and less neatly made type like Taexali & check if can be 60.
