Stalls Stands Side. === Post Race === Initial records to the result is that it reads like a moderate ability level for a £10k bonus Maiden at a 'major' course. Bunch finish between longer SPs with sub-75 profiles. Time 1.41s than the preceding 6f fillies maiden off level weights. Even with a 5L winner in the fillies' event the winner here would not have placed running the time he did here. Small, BTON runner winning up in 'Class' or finding a soft race? What was the Shape of the Race/Pace. Why are Clever Bob & Bingo George in the ruck running poorly? Looking through the VIdeo the reason for the slow time and smaller winner is the one you would expect with a MaJo runner successful. Whitman going to the lead and setting a slower pace. Rather than doing something about the pace a number of jks ending up in a fight with thier horse trying to hold them. Other jks, failing by inaction, in sitting too far back and allowing Whitman a head start in a slow race. Which meant he hung on despite hanging over to the stands rail from leading the field on the Cent-Stds strip. Bingo George the worst puller and fighting his jk too much. In the leading line and looking bigger & stronger than Whitman but eating his own chances. Clever Bob in midfield and seem to fail to pick up at 2f out for some reason. Jk active with whip in 5th 1f but no response andCB eased int he final 1f. Check for a WTRB on CB. |
