SUMMARY
GFG in early AM as on Decs.

===========

Only 5f race at the Meeting.

Another of these odd races that seems to be coming in which are termed 'Auction' races but run to level weights. The Auction Price condition just setting a qualifying barrier and not affecting the weight carried. See full Conds. below. One of 2 x class 6 races on the day.

=========

A game of 'Equine Musical Chairs' on Profile and hard to rule out anything given the low level of form likely to be needed to win. A race where even a low level Lurker could be troublesome. The draw helpful to 3 of the STO fillies and they were in the leading six at Halfway. This one of those Maiden races which broke up into two groups very early on = competitive and ready enough on the day in one group and in a Leading 6 at halfway with Arranmore Girl able to cross to the rail and control the Pace from the best track position. Passionateprincess again shortened in the Market and held back to XB to the back of the Leading 6 and still a bit free. The other 5 too stupid/slow to get involved and spread over a long way after 1.5f. Note that Pivotal Dream made a minor VTL gain from halfway from last along the rail. But small?

Usable pace and Arranmore Girl always in control and making the best effort, even factoring in the track position advantage. Not towering over the others but from the 2f in Camera Angle AG visibly at least one size bulkier/stronger than the fillies chasing her. Bond Bombshell a small one who had looked a real trier on debut and type to make the best of herself. Presumed then some some of lower to mid 50s. Got from the widest draw to sit second here 1 wide and again showing a good attitude to chase AG but overpowered. Her Class Level a bit worrying for those who finished behind her. BBombshell having been convincingly left behind by 4.5 bigger fillies on debut and anything behind her here needs a very good excuse, and some visible size, to be of future interest.

=== Post VRev ===

Simple race Shape with a leading 6 forming up by 0.5f gone and the race between them. With a usable pace and 2 x STOs in the first 2 places at Halfway and running competently then the 2f Sprint at the end of the race making it hard for others to make ground. The way the 2f Sprint went the first 2 went further away and some fading and looking small, even in this field, behind. As a lowest level Class 6 race confined to cheaper fillies then little promise behind for races above this basement level with smaller fillies roped off in their own race. Effectively a seller behind the winner?

Arranmore Girl some promise on debut although the Trainer meaning she wouldn't be held to that. Long term right decision which can look 'wrong' in a one-off situation like this race but trainer's overall record making his runners unsupportable. This race looking like 'Musical Chairs' beforehand and a suspect race to back in given the low level of form required to win. AG looking very professional here and a straight mover. Still going forward at the line. Looks competitive 63+ with some scope and compete ok in weaker nurseries.

Bond Bombshell cheaply reqined and a small one. But, in good condition here, very professional and a complete trier. Which meant that even from the widst draw (a real disadvantage) she ran a solid 2nd in this weaker field. Assisted by a lesser Pace to be able to XF to sit second before 1f gone. Not able to match, the bigger, AG's immediate kick 2f out and fadling later on. OR50s and lacking scope but makes the best of herself.

Ayresome Angel a bit taller in this group but a bit narrow and upright. Had lead on debut on slow ground and stall and faded in the last 1f. Well drawn here but the plan seemed to be to hold her up and try to settle her. Which did not work and she got shuffled back to 3R on the rail then pulled herself into 2R 1 off the rail and never settled. Even taking that into account a moderate effort in the last 2f in centre track. Enough to get her to 3rd but stalling and fading in the last 1f again. Looks a short runner and needs to settle better. Later 50s? perhaps if she puts a professional race together.

Rockfield Last presumably trained by Noel Quinlan until he abruptly stopped training in early April citing inability to make the game pay as the reason. Quinlan had already had a 2yo runner this year. Which presumably explains why trainer Bravery suddenly has an early 2yo. He hasn't had a 2yo winner for 10 years although had an Average record before the collapse in numbers. Jk spectacularly active by general 2yo standards and this race. Always driving and trying to get RLast to the best possible finishing position (hang on, isn't that what everyone is supposed to be doing..). But, RL looking a touch smaller than the Bombshell and an earlyish fade having run in a good spot next to the Rail. No interest.

Trainer Pears does get strong debuts and often at BVLY. Which meant that Whispering Wolf of some interest despite a wide draw. The yearling picture of her made it hard to judge her size but she looked ok set-up. Size the problem here and neatly made but small even in this field. Given her lack of size a 5th here was a 'strong debut' and shwoing a lot of her ability. Broke well wide and got to 2R but always niggled along a bit at the slower pace set. Moderate effort at 2f out and an early fade centre track. Just too small.

Given the low level of the first 5 home then anything further back needs a Top Level excuse linked to Ok Size to be of interest. Lady Mcguffy for a trainer who gets regular strong debuts and well drawn. But, too green to get involved and Hanging Left for much of the first 1f and get behind after which the Jk mostly let it go. But, not looking different in size and no obvious promise in later race effort.

Passionateprincess too free on debut and faded like a short runner. Well drawn here but threw that positive away being held back to 4R and then responded to being behind horses by running too freely to almost Halfway. Even with that excuse a poweder-puff effort at 2f out and an early fade. Short runner at present and another looking average size in a physically small field.

Pivotal Dream down to be ridden by Fallon who didn't get there (no surprise) so Elliott a. rode. Jk did very little and the filly a bit too green to do much unasked. So, NPIR and looking an average size in the field, at most. But, of interest because of Brisbourne's MO. Despite a blank since 2012 (no runner 2014) the trainer has a very good record of getting wins, & multiple wins, with cheap 2yos. He is also a complete Front-loader so the first runner for him each year ought to be the most competitive 2yo he has. They often run poorly FTO and develop with racing and peak 3TO. The Market does not take him seriously except in sellers/claimers. So, unlike the winner say, PDream becomes one to track just on the MO.

Lolamotion ridden by Lee with McDonald on Passionateprincess. Lolamotion looking smaller and a bit underpowered in this group. Too green to get involved and not helped much by the Jk. No apparent reason for interest.

Dazeekha a cheap on for a trainer with no record with 2yos. In this field seemed one of the taller ones. Ran green and probably hanging left from early on with the head held awkwardly to the left. Early fade. Check relative size.

Trying to understand Mick Easterby's MO will drive you nuts. Tutill an expensive one in the field and the trainer gets them fit FTO and they can run places at any SP. Tutill looking a a bit below average size in the group. Too green to get involved and hanging left at times. Another where the Jk did not do much to improve matters so Tutill trundling along at the back and then an early fade/ease. Would have wanted to see some more size visible for low level interest.
