SUMMARY
G in early am as on Decs. Watered but no details given.

Stalls Centre.

=== Post Race ===

Field raced Centre. Average Pace at most, better to read it as a race shape assisting prominent racing. Carlovian getting an Easy Lead and 1L clear at halfway and going settled and a real advantage (would he back up this rating in a different race set-up?). DonJuan Triumphant & Candelisa both looking bigger & stronger types in the group but both pulling too hard in 2R before Halfway and jks getting into extended battles with them.

Race developing into a 2f sprint and although Carlovian a smaller one and sub-70 he set a target for others to try to get him back. Willing trier with a head start and deciding when to kick the efforts off to get some extra 'Whiplash' advanatage. Only headed into last 1f and fading back inside the last 0.5f. Given that set-up impossible for the similar ability level, and lesser, types to make much progress on Carlovian. Worth noting that Mr Potter staying on again for a Volunteer 5th but similar promise to STO and presumably will get a bit more involved in his first nursery run. Minor note for Lady Wootton who seemd to be travelling ok in the 5th 1f but nothing extra 1f out then fading back. Showing some promise for 60s and a drop back to 5f in a lower quality race. Galesburg in a line with DJ & Candelisa before Halfway and his lack of size evident and finished where his size & abillity level fitted. Mr Conumdrum moving part poorly & more like a 7f+ once the final 2f sprint started. Love And Fear off the back again then some minor promise in getting into the stragglers before stalling. Still in the 'Check NTO because she hasn't run a Race Yet' pile.

Which left the best three horses in the race to finally overcome the Pace Bias and come to the lead in the last 0.5f+ to fight the finish out. All 3 of them probably led at some point in the 30yds before to the 30yds after the line. Donjuan Triumphant making the most immediate forward effort from 2R to take the lead off the much smaller Carlovian around 1f out. But DJ had been pulling too hard before halfway then hanging left as he made his forward move in the last 2f. DJ still 1L clear into the last 0.5f but starting to creak and stall and the horse already looking back at Candelisa looming outside him. DJ's movement in front starting shorten and get pottery late on and headed by Candelisa near the line. Not quite staying but might have held on if he had not been hanging left in the last 2f. A 5f to 6f type and late 70s say at that level.

Candelisa has looked more of a 7f galloper in 2 previous runs over 6f and a surprise to see him still at 6f here. Getting caught in a 2f sprint in this sort of a race not really suiting him despite finding a way to win anyway (In a 'Musical Chairs' kind of fashion assisted by some Minor Chaos). The line and just after it probably the only time he actually led. Correct and staright mover but lacking the initial forward effort of DJ. But, Candelisa getting into full stride in the last 1f and staying on well. Looks ok for 80ish and should be better when he goies up in distance.

Connections apparently have a high opinion of No Education and by the standards of the usual rancid debut efforts he ran very well on his debut. NE getting an easy lead FTO but showing a solid kick off it. NE a mild bump after the break here to ended up in 3R mildly pulling but giving DJ & Candelisa a 1L+ head start into the last 2f. Initially lost 1L+ to DJ as that one looking the best speed type of the 3. Hard ridden in the last 0.5f to turn a 1L deficit into being beaten a short head and leading soon after the line. Effectively showing a bit more speed than Candelisa when the pair got past the stalling DJ. NE a bit less size and scope than either of the other 2 and on debut looked a low 70s one in PRev. Suspect he has a bit more zip than that and say he can compete around 75 in an average Open Maiden (like this in the North).
