G in early am as on Decs. === Pre Race === Trainer Simcock saying in 215 that Lytham St Annes has grown a lot since the sale and has a big KA so would expect him to need softer going. Positive about him overall. Interesting to know whether Simcock means grown taller and bigger frame or just bulked up. Looking at LSA's yearling video he looks a stong block with above average depth. IP body length but lacking sprinter power behind. Longer, forward neck and more length in front. That set-up looking a bit '2 halves' and matches his movement in the walk where he shows ok range and movement in front but short and less good behind. If he has grown in height and bulked up he should be a strong one ok for 75 but more of a stayer profile. Simcock debuts to date uncompetitive and no win yet on any run. Looking back even when he got debut wins the stable still built into the season and wins before July needing better class types. Only 1 win before late August in 2013-14 seasons. Breeze Video for Onefourseven shows a smaller to small one but a solidly built block body. But on shorter legs. Poor breeze & partly because green. Veers right to kick off and never going forward propely. But, looking like he is learning as he goes and not able to shift his weight properly. Breeze Video for Strummer not as exciting as 50k sounds. Not much wrong but just a medium one all round with some body length. Uses his range ok and starts off with an above average cadence. But, forelegs not moving straight and looking like he lacks scope and more 7f type at 70+. === Post Race === |
