Full Text of the Stewards' Enquiry Report = "The Stewards held an enquiry to consider why Andrea Atzeni, the rider of GABSTER (IRE), had failed to pull up after heavily easing the filly shortly after the start when she appeared to go lame, but then continued to canter her and finish tailed off. They took evidence from the Stipendiary Steward who stated that at Scales the rider had reported that the filly was initially green, however after pushing for a few strides he was still not happy and felt it prudent to ease her. They interviewed the rider and the Veterinary Officer, who reported that GABSTER (IRE) appeared sound when trotted up after the race but was asymmetric behind and had been given pain relief by the Veterinary Surgeon at the request of the trainer. Having heard their evidence and viewed recordings of the race the Stewards found the rider in breach of Rule (D)45.3 in that he continued on a horse when it was contrary to the filly's welfare, and suspended him for eight days as follows: Friday 14, Saturday 15, Sunday 16, Monday 17, Tuesday 18, Wednesday 19, Thursday 20 and Friday 21 August 2015.".
