GFF in early am from GFG on Decs. 31mm Rain Previous Fri, 1mm Tue, 2mm Wed. === Pre Race === === Post Race === Stewards' Enquiry ful text = "The Stewards held an enquiry into the running and riding of SECRET INTERLUDE (IRE), ridden by Nicola Currie and trained by Jamie Osborne, which appeared to be tenderly ridden throughout to finish seventh, beaten 11¼ lengths. They interviewed the rider and the trainer. They also received a report from the Veterinary Officer. The rider stated that her instructions were to get the filly into the race and do her best. She added that she was slowly away and, although she had done her best to put the filly into the race and had asked for an effort between the 3-furlong and 4-furlong marker, quickly became very tired and weak during the race, which was only her fifth ride. The trainer stated that he wanted his rider to do her best but acknowledged that she had quickly become tired. Having heard their evidence and viewed recordings of the race the Stewards noted their explanations." |
