Going changed to S after this race. GS by 12:15pm after rain. GF in early morning from GGF on decs. === Pre Race === Vostok Gallop Vid from Mar 17th with Jaadu and two other unnamed 2yos. Vostok a mdm or smaller mdm chestnut looking ready type and a natural, Goes thru work comfortably and finishes in front alone ahead of the lead horse = 80s Shore Step. === Post Race === [Update May 26th] Watched as part of catching up & before JB ran STO. Rain and dark conds. Aragon Knight got to the lead on the rail and settled the pace and some CZ moves forward from those handling the loose going. Less than 2f sprint with AK looking likely winner until fit trier Frivolous Lady stayed on late. Not a 5f test as such. Hannon pair both at back before halfway & not involved. Jersey Breeze bigger than FrivLady & a bit taller than a compact sprint type by sire. A bit free overall then ok progress in CZ but taking time to pick up into last 2f. A bit green and only fading late. Seems ok for 70+. [June 9th] Racquet looking a small to smaller one but, typically for Hanon, deeper and ok strong front. Held back to 2R early then dropped to 4R in stages and a touch green and stumbling after the path. Just staying on in the last 2f but keeping that up to the line. Looking usable but size limited to some extent. |
