G from GF on decs. Stands Side course. === Post Race === [May 28th] Stalls stands side and field raced along rail. Average or slower pace with Aizu leading on the rail settled with Buratino outside him also settled. Gifted Master in 2R on rail and never fully settled. FFH and throwing his head Left/Right for first 1.5f. Cutaway before 2f out and a professional, but just average effort for a previous winner from Buratino, to get to the lead past Aizu then cross over to the rail (10yds+ move). Unprofessional and odd effort by Gifted Master in the last 2f+ having been too free and held for much of the previous part of the race. Head up and a bit to the left and rolling around behind Aizu for 0.5f then over to rail and making some (resentful?) progress. Had to switch off rail coming up behind Buratino in last 1f and GM then hanging right quite badly & ensuring he never completed making ground back to Buratino. Where has the professional racer with a likeable late race kick, from debut, Gone? |
