G by mid=pm. GGF from GFG in early am & raining. === Post Race === [May 28th] Field raced stands rail. Solid Pace with Comedy Night leading from early on the rail and the pace upping after 1.5f when Miniaturist joined then headed CN. Case Key an example of a 2yo looking exactly like he did in his Breeze Video as he did on debut. A quiet professional, straight moving and finishing the 2f kick off while not showing a faster action and staying on ok using the range he has. Also still looking a ready, medium & complete now one of the sire. Ridden confidently and dropped in off the pace after a good break from the widest draw. Niggled a bit as the pace upped but responded comfortably and made ground back to join leader by 2f out. Not really asked for an effort and just HnH to quickly take the lead & go 2L clear of Miniaturist Keeping the same pace going but not showing anything different or zipping clear. A quiet, unflashy professional. With CN a 60s one & Miniaturist softening himself up, plus Noseda referring to Grizzly Bear as a lazy horse who will progress with racing then perhaps only beating 60s quality on the day. [June 2nd] Auxiliary ridden by Moore so the connections enough to get him to a short SP. Did a number of things wrong and looking green overall. Slow start, needing driving to get going and niggled for most of the race. Moore had clearly settled for an 'Educ Intro' by 2f out and just HnH niggling and a low level response from Auxiliary while hanging right with the head up. Some response last 0.5f+ to get from 5th to 4th and ahead of a gap. [June 24th] Weld Al Khawaneej making his debut at a possible date period for a good Ryan debut and the trainer has used this course for strong debuts over the years. WAK looking too green to get involved. Slow start and not responding immediately to being niggled along. Always head up and looking hesitant and fading early. Little promise to match the profile but the inexperience a possible excuse. Looking a medium size, IP body and stong enough. Typical Ryan readyish sprinter type. |
