=== Pre Race ===

Schubert 4th/16 in a &f maiden at FAIR on Sep 23rd. 1st String of 3 x AOB runners at 7/2. Schubert wide drawn in 11 and a slowish start meaning he was well back (10th+) for much of the race and going 2-3Wd around the bend to the HS. Niggled along on the bend and not showing anything different but staying on out Widest (got racing early) to get to 4th in the last 0.5f but well behind the clear winner and finishing with a 10/1 3TO Bolger runner. Looking a bit better type than those he finished with but perhaps just a solid medium one. Looking a stayer and not showing any 'zip', even of the 7f variety.
