Changed to GGF at Noon with the Gstick amended from 8.2 to 8.0. CoC reporting 2mm of light rain during the morning. See 'Post Race' notes. GFG in early am as at Decs. 2-3mm (2 or 3?) of Watering on Thursday. Light Rain forecast for the am. === Post Race === Very Slow Times and Sectional Times produces reporting horses finishing the races very slowly. For example, 27.0secs a typical final 2f sectional time at the course during the season and 3 of first few on the day 30secs+. One time producer suggesting the horses were finishing slower than Mrs Overall could shift pushing a tea trolley. What is going on? CoC Gundill would count as one of the more open and public info conscious members of his type. Not a tough field, though. He reports no Rain since Sept 24th other than the 2mm before noon and owns up to 2-3mm of Watering the previous Thursday. How does that match up with slow times & jockeys reporting the going report should have 'Soft' in in somewhere. Not on the faster side of 'Good'. Time for this 6f Race reported as being closer to a Good time than the longer races which were clearly GGS or softer. With the whole Course on a Slope that would suggest the lowest parts of the Course and the Bottom Bend Softer than the Higher parts. |
