=== Post Race ===

20p/£ Rule 4.

Very Slow Time even if conditions generally slower than GS sounds. Aleko top on Profile because of +ve picture on MaJo website. Aleko to the leads an ran down the stands' rail an seemed to slow the pace after 1f. Rest of field typically taking their pace off the leader rather than thinking about how fast the pace was in absolute terms and adapting from there. Pace upped at halfway and only Aleko able to finish the race off. Better horse at the pace or some bias for the rest of the fiekd racing off the rail?

Hills' stable just into the period when we should expect them to start some of their best as Ascot preps. Menai looking the part in VRev - good size and rangy mover but hauled miles to the back by Frank and another stable debut turned into a farce by Spencer. There is a RULE against this and the BHA should step in and have-a-word. Frank is clearly beyond hope and seems to have been born with a range of information processing issues which have never changed, nor improved across his entire career. Frightening from the outside to see someone so 'locked in'. Anyone having a bet on a Spencer ridden FTO would be better off in the long run sending the money to Charity (and Hanagan ridden Hamdan 2yos as well for similar reasons.).

[June 11th = Poet's Beauty A bit green and a slower start but recoved fine to a slower pace. Travelled ok in mid-race closer to the stands rail where the first 3 home finished (winner an the rail alone). Short lived lower level effort 2f out but still 3rd to 1f out before stalling and fading. Looking a shorter on and lacking body length. But, on the plus side quite bulky and stronger looking than Phantom Flipper (taller and narrower type) running with that one in the 5th furlong. Aside = was PF's run track bias assisted here? Doe sthat part explain his 3rd string at long SP STO? PB looking usable and strong if a bit size limited. Interesting to compare his physical type to Discreet Hero in PRev STO. ]

[June 11th = Hibou in the second colours and lookign just a medium size. Just above average build. Early fade and perhaps a touch outpaced before halfway (?). But, probably some excuse racing widest on the track with the first 3 home closest to the stands rail. Hung left and racing very wide by 1f out when he was starting to fade. Given the way the Appleby 2yos have improved to STO should be fine over 7f STO but the size to be any better than around 75? ]

[June 18th] Nietzsche wearing a noseband looking more like a Kevin Ryan horse than a Haggas one. That appearance assisted by him being a typical Ryan body shape and Medium+ size, dep front and strong looking and just IP body length. A bit green to start with then allowed to drift back after getting to 2R. Hanging left a bit in the last 2f and racing wide out which was a probable disadvantage. Inclined to mark him up for doing best of those racing that wide. Doing better than Hibou who, has placed since, and more strongly built. Looks fine for 75+ and probably 80+.

Nietzsche ending up in 3R and out wide on the track because of tracking Bochart who broke well and was racing a bit free in the leading line. Bocahrt held back a bit then hanging left in the 5th 1f and carrying Nietzsche to Centre track with him. Bochart a similar type to Nietzsche if perhaps a bit taller but less deep and strong in front. Also a bit more body length. Faded earlier than the hard trying Nietzsche and left impression he is a some rating points shor tof that one in ability. But ok for 75+ and the Appleby STOs haver been going well and two more tests today.
