Moderate race on Profile and with the MaJo & Turner 2yos lesser types thinner than the Profile. Trainer Coyle and increased number of 2yos each of his 4 seasons with a licence and 18 in 2014. Bulk of the purchases in the 1-10k range with some at the 10-20k level. Ok results given the low purchase prices. Hasn't had a debut winner before and only 3 of his previous winners have made 2nd/3rd FTO while the other 8 have been 4th or worse. Does Front Load to some extent and this showed up most in 2014. Perhaps helped by the other runners being lesser types but the Market did seem to know reasonably early that New Road Side would be an unusually competitive debut for the trainer. Just a medium size and ok build and not standing out in the group. But, professional and always travelling best in the group and winning with some comfort, ears pricked at the finish. You would suspect she has been looking a 'natural' at home. Does that amount to real OR70+ form? Perhaps work on basis she is just over 70. Rainbow Rebel not looking the lengthier, development type of his sire. Looking a ready now smaller medium on. Broke best and led early but overpowered by NRS and not looking fully comfortable on the surface when under pressure in the last 2f. Looks a 60s type on size and seems to lack scope. Luvly for a trainer who hasn't produced a 2yo winner entirely through his own preparation since 2004 although with small numbers. Looked solidly built in the context of this group and a straight mover. Not fit enough and seemed to lack pace into the last 2f but stuck at it. Probably a bit better than Garbage and needs PRev to see if usable 56+. Probably at 6f+ and looking more a minor galloper. Raise The Game a disappointment physically and well below profile (factored in best sibling & Owner). A small one even in this group and an awkward mover in front. Useful to have him running alongside Luvly because the difference in power and straightness of movement visibly different. Hard to judge Go Marnie who made a slow start and adrift early and hardly in the Video shot for most of the time. Another smaller one but check Build & didn't look like his full-brother Exzachary on brief Video shots, for eg.. |
