More interesting and stronger Division on Profile. Dr Julius No the 1 solid Profile across both races. Top Hatter as a name for Osborne you would presume was chosen for the 'This might take me to Royal Ascot' reason. But, relying on Osborne to produce a 2yo to win FTO is a bit too much of an adventure, especially as favourite. Check what went on with Golden Guest & Girlofinkandstars who are of some interest now they have poor runs in the book. They ought to be better than they showed. ==== Review Notes contributed by @hughonthehill (Twitter handle) ===== ==== Note :- The ratings number at the end of each review summary is an estimate of what OR they might reach rather than a reflection of how they ran on the day. See the Paddock Review Rating Section on this website for reference. Dr Julius No review A very ordinary field with an absurd level of support for the over-hyped Jamie Osborne favourite Top Hatter. Very slow time. Dr Julius No Won this in an ok fashion, not much to add to his debut. Shading into bottom end of medium but lumpy look to him that suggests limited scope despite strength. 74 Dolokhov Similar type in a smaller frame to DJN. Improving as Stan Moores tend to by 3to. 66 Mr Hobbs Bit more range than some, green early then stayed on, 68 Top Hatter One of the bigger ones in a field of mostly small fat or weak types. Light medium. Still physically a bit weak and did not look fit enough to justify favouritism. 68 King Of Spades another light but lower medium one. Fairly fit but coat dull, a bit immature mentally. Improve 68 Golden Slam Incorrectly assembled, one or two good parts but badly put together. Appeared fitter than most so poor run. 66 Madam Prancealot Small. 55 Miss Monro Small and weak 50 Suetonius Fat and chunky in a mid small frame. Showed a bit of speed but fat and ran out of puff quickly. 65 Golden Guest Small, bit better shape but hard to see why price went up from yearling to 2yo. 64 Girlofinkandstars Green and skittish in the paddock. The only one with a ok racehorse shape but fat and short of race fitness. Reared on gates opening and lost 5l. Closed up to back of field but then lack of fitness caught up and ultimately disappointing effort. Untypical debut for trainer in that they are usually mentally ready and professional. Maybe she was brought to the racecourse before she was fully fit to try and teach her what it was all about. 70+ if she is not perennially stupid. |
