=== Post Race ===

Frank, not Frankie, on a Frankel. Queen Kindly the 2nd FTO win for Frankel from 3 runners. Owner bred by Jaber Abdullah with the dam and the maternal grand dam his best best sprint 2yo fillies (Queen's Logic & Lady Of The Desert). QL won on her April 20th debut for Channon & LOTD on her May 26th debut for Meehan. Given that QK is a chestnut and a 5f debut you wonder how much Frankel is adding. Also a bit puzzling why you would start at CATT.

Whatever, worth making the point that you need to take a few seasons to judge a sire and NOT just react to the first set of 2yos that run. FS Sire Mayson had people wondering (on Twitter admittedly) whether he was a 'superstar' in the making after Global Applause & Spin Top won on debut in the same week in early May. 6 debuts since have not won and a more mixed story in promise terms. GA the only win since early May. Which means we have little idea what sort of sire Mayson might be. We have seen the precocious and ready ones and the slow, small, etc we may never see on a racecourse. Similarly with Frankel, the early runners OUGHT to be winners because they will be, by definition, the most precociuos and ready. If he is producing herds of slow old boats we might not see them until Northern maidens at 3yo, if at all. Unlike other FS Sires, say like Mayson, we know that Frankel's stud record wont DIP notably with his 2nd & 3rd crops because of a fall off in the quality of mares he got before his runners even made it to the track.
