Chevalier Du Lac review – My first trip to Wetherby and I was entertained to find the 2yo race the equivalent of an equine jumble sale. The pre parade/saddling enclosure is a Dutch barn. Very nice paddock though and a friendly course with lots of bars and food options.

Chevalier Du Lac – I have somehow deleted the picture or missed him out. A smaller colt amongst a bunch of small ones. Gleaming coat and well-proportioned. The only runner that looked much like a racehorse. Should win some another weak novice if he is lucky. If he gets stuck with a mark around 75 or a bit higher because of how he won here he may well struggle due to his size. 70

Jollydee – Another missing picture – just about the tallest, very light framed and weakly made through the mid section. 65

He’s A Toff – Small but at least quite fit and well turned out. 63

A Sure Welcome – Plain, common looking, top end of small. Not fit, trundled through. 60

Stubytuesday – Small, short bodied with unattractive shape to rear qtrs. 55

TravelTalk – Similar type to Stubytuesday. 55

Belle’s Angel – tiny, ok shape 47

Showdance Kid – Left in stalls, small heavy set and unathletic. 60
